Please respect the other workshop attendees, and behave as you would during a face-to-face workshop.
The workshop will be recorded, and your attendance at the workshop will be taken to indicate your acceptance of this. The recording will only include the speakers and shared screens, and will not include anything said in the breakout rooms.
If you are not comfortable with your responses to the Facilitator’s questions being recorded, then please do not share them at this time, but find another UA member or meeting afterwards, so that you can share them in confidence.
If you haven’t used Zoom before, please click the link to download Zoom prior to the day of the meeting and familiarize yourself with the features you may need – mute/unmute microphone, stop/start video, Chat, etc.
You may find it helpful to attend a UA Zoom UA meeting ahead of the workshop.
In line with the 12th Tradition of anonymity, please make sure that your full name or company is not visible on your displayed name.
It is suggested that you join early – at least 5 minutes before the meeting start time.
If you wish to share at the workshop, please find a quiet space without interruptions or background noise.
If you wish to turn your video on, please make sure your background is not distracting.
If you do not wish your face to be recorded when you share, make sure that your Zoom profile picture is blank or otherwise anonymous.
If you are walking or moving around, or other people are walking around in the background, we ask that you turn your video off.
During the workshop, please only use the Chat feature when prompted by the chair or workshop facilitator.
The Facilitators will be presenting some information on screen; if you are unable to see the slides, they will be made available on the UA-NY.org website after the workshop.
All the workshops will be interactive: please make sure you have a pen and lined paper to write on.
