What Is Intergroup?
Your Intergroup is the glue that binds the UA fellowship together in your local area. We keep the local meeting lists updated, and we design workshops and share-a-days. We help distribute literature and other program materials. We work with fellowship-level committees on key initiatives. Most importantly, we help attract newcomers to meetings with flyers and announcements.

Mission Statement
“We promote the common welfare of all group members in Underearners
Anonymous in the Tri-State area.

“Our actions aim to provide support by coordinating the exchange of
information and resources with groups and with the UA General Service Board,
and to inspire fellowship among our members through the planning of events.

“We are dedicated to work in a spirit of cooperation, mutual respect and
consideration of all ideas presented to support unity and recovery. All are
welcome to participate in our meetings.”

Help Wanted!

Hands Raised

UA NY Intergroup is organizing a Share-a-Day for October 16, and we are looking for volunteers willing to step up for service to the program.

We are looking for people to help with the following roles—we will be asking volunteers to prepare for at least two positions at each event, in case connection issues prevent other people from dialing in:

  • MC: master of ceremonies to introduce the event, read the Welcome script, and wrap the workshop up at the end
  • Co-hosts: a team of people familiar with the Zoom dashboard, or willing to learn, to moderate the event; members of this group will be assigned specific hosting tasks:
    • Waiting Room Manager
    • Chat/Spotlight/Mute Manager
    • Break Out Room Manager
    • Screen Share Manager
  • Time-keeper: people willing to keep track of time

You will also be asked to join rehearsal session ahead of the event.

NY UA Intergroup Meeting, Saturday, June 8th

The next meeting of the New York UA Intergroup will be Saturday, June 8th, from 1:00-3:00pm, at 276 Fifth Avenue, Suite 704-D, Manhattan.

(Between 29th & 30th Streets; nearest subway stations Herald Square B/D/F N/Q/R/W, or 28th Street R/W.)

We represent groups throughout the Tri-State area, and all who are willing to do service on behalf of the program are welcome to attend our meetings!

The next meeting of the New York UA Intergroup will be Saturday, April 13th, from 1:00-2:30pm, at 1239 Broadway, Suite 819 (Eighth Floor), Manhattan.

The meeting will also be accessible by conference call, if you are unable to come into town, number TBD.
